Pls help. urgent abut a guy?

okk . ive known this guy since 2007. we used to be coworkers. we used to joke and be very friendly. i really liked him. i love him. he never really knew how serious i was abut him. in the end he moved and i quit. its been an year now and i went to where he works.. i really wanted to talk to him but somehow im not able to. i havnt contacted him in an year and i dont know how to approach him. last time i went there i left him a note and cupcakes with my no. he obviously didnt call cuz it seemed ridiculous. im going to go there again this monday what shud i say. how shud i approach him and have the courage..
